iOS 26 gives Apple Wallet a clever new trick you may actually use
iOS 26 was just announced during WWDC 2025’s keynote on June 9, and Apple has prepped a huge update this time. Not all the features were discussed during the keynote, and one of them is the addition of Apple Intelligence in the Wallet app with iOS 26.

This integration aims to offer a new package tracking feature. Basically, Apple Wallet will be able to scan your emails and find messages from merchants or delivery carriers. These tracking numbers will then be added to the Wallet app, so you can keep an eye on upcoming deliveries simply and quickly.

Package tracking is already a feature in the Wallet app. However, right now it only works with purchases made using Apple Pay. In the future, you won’t need to buy something with Apple Pay in order to monitor the package in the tracking section of the Wallet app, which will be super useful, especially if you tend to order a lot of things.

With iOS 26, package tracking can be enabled by opening up the Wallet app and Apple Pay section in the Settings app. Then, you can tap on Apple Pay Defaults and select Order Tracking. From there, you can toggle on Orders Found in Mail, which is the aforementioned feature that works with the help of Apple Intelligence. Of course, right now, this feature is in beta, and it also has a beta label next to it. This pretty much means that you may encounter some bugs while using it. Meanwhile, the entire iOS 26 is in beta right now, and more precisely, in developer beta. The public beta is said to open in July, while the official, stable iOS 26 version will come in the fall to all supported iPhones, alongside the new iPhone 17 series.

iOS 26 is a big update, and its biggest change is the new design. Featuring elements called “Liquid Glass”, the new look of iOS (and all other operating systems Apple announced during WWDC) exudes elegance. The fluidity of the new design is very attractive to me, and I can’t wait to try it on my iPhone.

In the meantime, Google has also just launched Android 16, the stable version is now rolling out to Pixel phones.
