The latest OnePlus leak claims both Nord series phones will be introduced on July 8. This is a bit strange since the handset maker typically releases these phones separately. For example, the Nord CE4 debuted last year in April, whereas the Nord 4 was launched back in July.
While it makes perfect sense for OnePlus to launch the Nord 4 successor around the same time this year, it’s odd that the Chinese company decided to combine it with yet another member of the Nord series.

It remains to be seen whether or not this rumor proves to be accurate, so here is a quick recap of what we know about the two phones so far. First off, the Nord 5 is expected to pack a high-end MediaTek Dimensity 9400e chipset, this is the same processor OnePlus uses in the Ace 5 Racing Edition (China only) and Realme’s GT 7.
Furthermore, the Nord 5 is rumored to boast a stunning OLED panel with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and in-display fingerprint sensor. As far as the camera is concerned, OnePlus Nord 5 is said to feature a dual-camera system that includes a 50-megapixel main sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
Previous reports also claim the OnePlus Nord 5 will be powered by a massive 7,000 mAh battery with 100W wired charging speeds and will feature a 16-megapixel selfie snapper.
Moving on to the Nord CE5, this is going to be a dumbed down version of the Nord 5. It will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, 8GB RAM, and 256GB internal storage.
